City Turns Blue: Singapore Illuminates 54 Buildings on World Water Day

Singapore is set to be transformed this weekend as 54 prominent buildings and landmarks across the city-state will be illuminated in support of the “Make Every Drop Count” campaign.

The lighting event, dubbed “City Turns Blue,” is intended to raise awareness about water conservation and climate change in observation of World Water Day on March 22.

“See what schools, corporates, and our community are doing to play a part in water sustainability,” the National Water Agency said.

Among the entities taking part in the lighting event are Esplanade, Village Hotel Sentosa, Century Square, Suntec City, Sentosa Golf Club, Plaza Singapura, Resorts World Sentosa, Marina Bay Sands, and more.

A government organisation, the National Water Agency is responsible for managing Singapore’s water conservation, water catchment, and ensuring a dependable water supply for the nation.
