5 Restaurants to Choose From for a Stress Free Fathers Day in Singapore

They say the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. So, what better way to spend Father’s Day than by treating your dad to an outdoor feast? While there’s an extra special touch to whipping up a special dish for your father, it also doesn’t make you less of a person if you opt to spend the day without having to worry about cleaning up your kitchen mess.

For a stress-free lunch or dinner on Father’s Day, here are five restaurants that your dad (or partner) will surely enjoy.

Lino

Lino is a casual Italian restaurant specialising in handmade pizza, pasta, and a bevy of wines, spritzers, and cocktails. Their Binjai branch offers a set lunch and dinner starting at S$26 for two courses. Choices for mains include slow-cooked chicken breast, spinach ricotta ravioli, vodka bacon garganeli, and honey bacon pizza. For dessert, we recommend their gelato, panna cotta, and Earl Grey tea cake.

Lino is open daily from 12 NN to 2:15 PM and 5:30 PM to 9:45 PM (Banjai branch) and 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM (Forum branch).

Locations: LINO @ Binjai 7 Binjai Park / LINO @ Forum 583 Orchard Rd, #01-01/04, Forum The Shopping Mall

Fat Cow

Let your father indulge in the highly prized wagyu beef when you dine at Fat Cow, a fancy Japanese restaurant along Orchard Boulevard. For Father’s Day, Fat Cow has prepared a three-course set lunch that consists of Miyazaki Steak with Ginger Sauce, Kanpachi Yuanyaki, Mixed Vegetable Stew, and their signature Fat Rice. Price per person starts at S$118. The menu is available for dine-in from June 13 to 20.

Location: 1 Orchard Boulevard, Camden Medical Centre #01-01/02

Les Bouchons

Give your dad a taste of Paris at Les Bouchons, a chic French bistro and steakhouse with three outlets in Singapore. They whip up steak per diner’s request and each plate of this carnivore dream is served with a portion of salad and free-flow homemade French fries. Les Bouchons also has a selection of seafood if your father wants to tone down his meat. They are open from Mondays through Fridays for lunch and dinner. On Saturdays, they are only available for dinner from 6 PM to 10:30 PM.

Location: Ann Siang / Robertson Quay / Rochester / Puteri Harbour

Sofitel Singapore’s Racines

Your father only deserves the best especially on his special day so why not pamper him with a sumptuous buffet at Sofitel Singapore? Racines has prepared a semi-buffet brunch for June 19, featuring a seafood platter (oysters, chilled prawns, little neck clams, chilled Hokkaido scallops, rock lobsters) unlimited servings of appetisers, assorted sushi and maki with condiments, charcuterie (cold cut selection of salmon, pork, and beef with pickles and olives), Thai-style top shell salad, curry kale, dim sum, soup, a choice of one main course, and desserts, among many others. You can indulge in all these for S$138+ per adult and S$69 per child (six to 11 years old).

Location: Sofitel Singapore City Centre, 9 Wallich Street

Wàn Hé Lóu

Home of the lobster porridge, Wàn Hé Lóu will wow you with a mouth-watering seafood fest. Frankly, you don’t need a special occasion to chow down a plate of their salted egg yolk crab or salted turnips cod fish, but if you want to indulge without feeling guilty, the upcoming Father’s Day is a good excuse for that! Of course, don’t forget to order the award-winning lobster porridge, their signature dish made by chef Lau Siaw Dee. It consists of "loose rice grains swimming in rich golden soup enhanced with lobster roe and accompanied by a bright springy lobster. A blanket of fresh spring onions completes the [porridge], resulting in a dish that is comforting and yet fresh without being too rich.”

Location: 65 Maude Road (S) 208347 (Jalan Besar) / 9 Yuk Tong Avenue (Bukit Timah)
