The Purr-fect Cafés in Singapore for Cat Lovers

Cafes in Singapore for Cat Lovers Photo by Facebook/Meomi Cat Cafe

How can anyone not love cats? With their large laser eyes, squishy paws, and tails that wiggle in excitement, these creatures are nothing short of adorable. If you love cats and coffee, we’ve listed down four meow-some cafés where you can enjoy the company of your furry friends while downing a nice cup of java.

The Cat Café

This lovely coffee place has two shops in the city. The first one, at Bugis, is home to 15 adult cats from 8 to 15 years old. These senior cats are calmer around humans and love to sleep and cuddle. The second one, at the Rail Mall, is home to 14 younger cats from 3 to 6 years old. Because they are younger, they are also more active and playful. All the cats are up for adoption, and the café offers freshly brewed coffee made from local coffee beans, as well as freshly baked pastries. Children below six years old are not allowed, and children between 6 and 12 must be with an adult.

Location: The Cat Café, 241B Victoria Street Level 3 (The Cat Café, Bugis) | 392 Upper Bukit Timah Road (The Cat Café Rail Mall)

Neko No Niwa

This Japanese café is dedicated to giving stray cats love and a place to live. They are extremely careful to their kitties’ safety and have several rules you must follow: no children under 7 are allowed, no other animals are welcomed, and above all, you have to respect the cats. But this is why we love this place –they put so much care and attention into their cats. The place is a little pricey, but their beverages are delicious, and they make for a perfect place to study during a rainy afternoon.

Location: Neko No Niwa, 54A Boat Quay (Level 2), Singapore 049843

Catopia Café

Catopia Café was created to educate people on cats. They welcome cat lovers to spend time with cats in a safe (and legal!) environment, while enjoying coffee and snacks. Most of all, they believe animal and human interactions can improve the quality of life for both. Keeping in mind the health of their cats, they only welcome children above 7, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Location: Catopia Café, 46A Dunlop St, Singapore 209375

Meomi Cat Café

Meomi is a tiny coffee place housing seven beautiful kitties. All the cats are pedigreed, and extremely photogenic, as well as cuddly. Children must be at least 7 years old, and all children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult, to avoid harming any cat. We also advice calling for reservation (+65 6296 0339), as their popularity makes it hard to just pop by. With a cosy ambiance and delicious food, this place is worth a visit.

Location: Meomi Cat Café, 668 North Bridge Road Singapore, Singapore 188801
