“The idea of launching a sandwich shop came to mind because we felt that Melbourne’s sandwich scene is huge, and we really wanted to magnify this culture and showcase our unique sandwich interpretation, from a grocer’s point of view. Choosing to open at Raffles Place was an easy decision – it is a fast-paced environment, and sandwiches make one of the best meals for busy hustlers. We’ve put in a lot of heart and thought in creating wholesome and nourishing meals for everyone,” Pang Gek Teng, co-founder of Surrey Hills Grocer, said in a media release.
