In celebration of the opening of the Thomson-East Coast Line 3 stations, the Land Transportation Authority (LTA) is holding a special ceremony tomorrow through complimentary rides and activities.
Starting Nov. 11, commuters can enjoy free rides across the 11 new stations between Stevens and Gardens by the Bay from 10 AM to 9 PM.
Those coming to the event can look forward to carnival activities, dance performances from the LTA mascots, and exclusive merchandise. A photo exhibit highlighting the frontliners of Singapore will also be presented at Orchard Station.
The 11 stations—namely Stevens, Napier, Orchard Boulevard, Orchard, Great World, Havelock, Outram Park, Maxwell, Shenton Way, Marina Bay, and Gardens by the Bay—span 13.2 kilometres and have four interchanges.
The Thomson-East Coast Line 3 is a government project aimed at making transportation efficient and accessible for Singaporeans.
