Time to gather your cinephile friends as Singapore’s first and longest-running student-led film festival is back on-site!

The Perspectives Film Festival (PFF) will be celebrating its 15th edition in person for the first time after two years of virtual screenings, welcoming film enthusiasts at Oldham Theatre at the National Archives of Singapore on Oct. 27-30. This year's PFF carries the theme “It’s Time,” a retrospective look at some of the world’s iconic films that explore the relationship between time and reality.

The opening film will be “Memory Box” by Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, which has been screened at the prestigious Berlinale International Film Festival 2021 and received a nomination for the coveted “Golden Bear” award. Meanwhile, the festival-ender will be “Goodbye, Dragon Inn” by Tsai Ming-liang, winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at the Venice Film Festival in 2003.

Introduced in 2008, the PFF is a yearly practicum course run by undergraduate students of Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The programme aims to provide Singaporean youth with hands-on experience in curating a film festival including programming, ticketing, marketing, and exhibition.
