Aspiring screenwriters and filmmakers are invited to join the Scriptwriting Workshop from March 12 to April 16, 2025. This six-session course is designed for beginners with little or no experience in film or television. Participants will learn the fundamentals of scriptwriting, including the 3-act narrative structure, visual storytelling, and crafting dialogue and characters for the screen.
Led by experienced Singaporean practitioners Ivan Tan, Ric Aw, and Lillian Wang, the workshop will guide participants in turning their ideas into compelling screenplays. The learning experience will be enhanced by online critique and discussions of writing exercises between class sessions. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have completed a first draft for a short film (up to 10 pages).
