This remarkable event, brought to life in partnership with the Embassy of Belgium in Singapore and the Delegation of the European Union to Singapore, promises an evening filled with melodic treasures from Belgium's rich musical heritage.
The concert will unveil the Singapore premiere of "From Ancient Times" by the globally renowned Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost. The evening's highlight includes the eagerly anticipated world premiere of "Symphony nr 6" by Belgium-born Singaporean composer and conductor Robert Casteels.
Adding to the vibrancy of the event, solo soprano Tanya Sen will grace the stage with her rendition of five Belgian songs, uniquely arranged for this occasion, capturing the essence of Belgium's lyrical beauty. Furthermore, solo trombonist Sam Armstrong will enchant the audience with his performance of "Colors for trombone and band" by Bert Appermont, showcasing the versatility and depth of Belgian compositions.
