1. ‘The Wonderful World of Dissocia’ Stage Play

“What would you do if you lost an hour out of your day? How much are those stolen moments worth to you? And how far would you go to get that time back?”

“The Wonderful World of Dissocia” tells the story of Lisa who embarks on a surreal adventure into the weird underworld of Dissocia to retrieve her missing hour. While the place is brimming with magic and imagination, she later discovers the dangers that are lurking beneath it, including violent scapegoats to insecurity guards who are dead set on making her stay.

Presented by Wild Rice, this imaginative play written by Anthony Neilson brings a “fiercely tragicomic exploration of trauma and mental health” to the stage. Get your tickets via SISTIC.

2. The 2023 Korea Travel Fair

If you’re a big fan of K-Pop, K-Drama, K-Beauty products, and all things hallyu, don’t miss this three-day event filled with your favourites! The 2023 Korea Travel Fair is bringing together over 55 exhibitors from different sectors, such as airlines, travel agencies, regional tourism organizations, and retailers, so you can discover the latest travel trends, products, and services. Expect deals, discounts, and exclusive offers along with cultural performances, movie screenings, beauty shows, and the appearance of Netflix’s “The Glory” star Lee Do-hyun. 3. ‘The Monster in the Mirror’ Musical

“Don’t let them see who you really are.”

“The Monster in the Mirror” tells the story of an average schoolgirl named Jane who’s navigating the stressful world of teenage politics and social media drama. One day, she receives a magic mirror and finds in its reflection a “monster” who has been living inside her head and is trying to overpower her.

Presented by Gateway Arts, the musical aims to empower the youth and shed light on mental health and self-love issues in today’s world. It’s a coming-of-age story made for the new age. Get your tickets via SISTIC.

4. Mommy & Me: Kids Fair

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a weekend full of activities and exhibitors offering food, sustainable goods, mother-child fashion pieces, beauty products, and home decors. If you have kids in tow, you can let them join the Candy Treasure Hunt (with three sessions per day) and Doodle Fest for an all-day art jamming session. 5. Support SMB 2023

The inaugural tradeshow for small and medium businesses (SMBs) is happening next week to give entrepreneurs a chance to grow their market. 6. The Great Digestion Adventure 2023

Ever wondered what’s it like inside our tummies? Head over to Marina Square with your little ones for a belly-venture that will take you to a larger-than-life digestive system! Step into “The Good Bite” to explore how food breaks down after ingesting them, then proceed to “Bowl & Break” and “a-Maze-ing Absorption” to learn about how we digest food and absorb their nutrients into our body. To end the experience, “The Perfect Poop” will teach your kids how the food we eat leaves out of our bodies.

8. ‘kaba ni yu wo heru’ Solo Exhibition

Feeling like appreciating art this week? Visit the Mizuma Gallery to see the solo exhibition of Ai Yamaguchi, a Japanese artist known for her works based on “the lives of young female courtesans working in a teahouse on a mountain ridge during Japan’s Edo Period.” The exhibit highlights how humans are unconsciously guided by the power of letters, taking inspiration from the idea of how poems function “as continuous chains of words” and how words are “aggregations of letters that only make sense together.”

9. Around The World in 80 Days

A team of facilitators will guide you through different rooms that recreate key scenes from the book where you can enjoy activities, five delicious courses, and two drinks for the night. Looking for something different? Absurdities: The World’s Most Absurd Restaurant is an anti-fine, fun-dining restaurant that seeks to amaze and bewilder the taste buds. Another project by ANDSOFORTH, this omakase-style restaurant concept features a sensorial dining experience that combines set designs and curated soundscapes.
