Paramount Pictures officially unveiled the premiere date of the iconic film during the “Mean Girls Day” celebration, which very much hyped the fans for what's to come.
Premiered in 2004 with its original version, "Mean Girls: The Musical" made its debut on Broadway in April 2018, and now it's on the slate for its big screen premiere on Jan. 12, 2024.
Boasting a cast filled with stars, this version includes Angourie Rice, who will be portraying the character of Cady Heron, originally played by Lindsay Lohan, and Reneé Rapp, who reprises her role as Regina George, a character she previously portrayed in her Broadway debut.
Other renowned names are also joining, including the original Ms. Norbury from the 2004 film, Tina Fey, who's also the film screenwriter and producer. Working along with her are directors Lorne Michaels, Arturo Perez Jr., and Samantha Jayne, who are set to bring the classic film back to life.
The latest edition of the film tells the story of Cady Heron and her encounter with the A-list girl clique, Plastics.
