Thailand's Largest Marathon Event to Kick Off in November

On your marks, racers! Thailand’s biggest marathon event, “Bangkok Marathon,” is gearing up for its return this year with four categories.

The event will be held at the historic Sanam Chai Road on Nov. 19, featuring a 42.195-kilometre marathon. There will also be a 21.1-kilometre Half Marathon, a 10-kilometre Mini Marathon, and a five-kilometre Micro Marathon for those opting for shorter distances.

Entry fees vary per category. Micro Marathon costs THB400, Mini Marathon costs THB600, Half Marathon costs THB800, and Full Marathon costs THB1,200.

Participants for every category will receive corresponding race packages, which includes a race shirt, a commemorative medal, a goodie bag, and a bib tag. Packages can be collected from Nov. 16-18 at the Bang Sue Grand Station.

The first placer in the full marathon will win THB30,000 in prize money, while winners of the half and mini marathons will both take home THB10,000.

Registration is now open via Bangkok Marathon’s website until Aug. 31, so hurry and grab your spot!

Bangkok Marathon is an annual event held in the city, organised by the National Jogging Association of Thailand since 1988.
