Chai yo! The Bangkok Bar Show is making a comeback this year after a pandemic hiatus to bring together some of the best brands and bartenders around the world.

Founded by Teens of Thailand’s Niks Anuman-Rajadhon and #FindTheLockerRoom’s Colin Chia, The Bangkok Bar Show was first held in June 2019 at Lhong 1919 on Bangkok's Thonburi side to celebrate Asia’s cocktail scene. Now on its second run, the event will not only be bigger in terms of location but will also have some of the cocktails scene’s heavyweights!

When and Where

The Bangkok Bar Show 2022 is happening from Nov. 4 to 6. Seminars will be held on each day from 12 NN to 8 PM at the Henri Dunant Hall of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club. To get there, you’ll need to ride the BTS Skytrain to Ratchadamri Station. You can also ride a regular or air-conditioned bus (Bus Line 16) and get off at the bus stop near the Chulalongkorn University pedestrian bridge along Henri Dunant Road. The events and takeovers at night, on the other hand, will be at different participating bars.

A day before the event, Nov. 3, there will be an opening party at Zuma Bangkok located on the ground floor of The St. Regis Bangkok. It’s within the same area and is accessible by riding the BTS Skytrain to Ratchadamri Station. Chacha and Tor Vipop (Sugar Ray) will kick off the event at 6:30 PM and from 8 PM onwards, Tamaryn Cooper (Asia Today), Ong Thanachot (#FindTheLockerRoom) and Macc Saharat (Vesper) will be taking over.

What to Expect

Bangkok Bar Show 2022 will be a three-day trade event with 12 drink seminars and 26 bartender shifts in total. If you’ve always wanted to enter the cocktails scene but don’t know where to start, attending the seminars is a good way to get insights from bartenders-turned-founders of some of the most prominent bars in Asia, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Their industry experience may not only help you get started, but also help you thrive and stay afloat, especially in these uncertain times.

After absorbing all the knowledge and inspiration, reward yourself and party ‘til late at the bar of your choice. See how the speakers from the seminars you just attended take over a shift at participating bars and work their magic. It’s a rare chance to watch them up close and get a taste of the mixes that helped them made a name for themselves in their respective countries. Check out the schedule below!
