Pokémon's 'The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero' Epilogue to Launch on Jan. 11
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet players, get ready to discover more secrets of Area Zero!
In a social media post, Pokémon announced that the epilogue of the games’ downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack, “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero,” is launching on Jan. 11 next year.
Set in the magical Land of Kitakami, the “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” epilogue, titled “Mochi Mayhem,” will cover the unresolved plot holes of the DLC’s first part, “The Teal Mask,” which was released in September this year.
The soon-to-launch "Mochi Mayhem” extension also follows the recent release of the DLC’s second part, “Indigo Disk,” which was unveiled on Dec. 14.
According to the teaser video, players will need to travel back and explore the Land of Kitakami to catch the mythical, mochi-looking Pokémon, Pecharunt, and discover the secrets behind it.
To be able to play the game, players must first complete a postgame event in either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet and finish the main stories of “The Teal Mask” and “Indigo Disk.”
“The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: Mochi Mayhem” is developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo Switch and The Pokémon Company.
