Half of Singapore Employers Plan to Expand Workforce in Late-2022, Survey Says
A survey by ManpowerGroup has found that 50% of Singapore companies aim to fill their vacancies later this year. More than 510 employers participated in the survey, and 205 of them plan to hire new employees in the last quarter of the year.
“Hiring activity in consumer-facing industries has increased with the return of major MICE events such as F1 and relaxation of travel measures. With year-end festivities coming up, hiring demand is expected to remain high for the rest of 2022," said ManpowerGroup Singapore Country Manager Linda Teo.
The survey, which tackled the hiring intentions of Singapore employers, also revealed that 15% of respondents aim to keep their workforce level steady, while 35% expect a staffing decrease. Meanwhile, 1% of the companies are undecided.
Named as one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” by Etisphere, ManpowerGroup is a 74-year-old workforce solutions company that specialises in technology and staffing services.
