IT Events Singapore Header

Singapore wouldn't be dubbed the "Silicon Valley of Asia" by KPMG for nothing. Known as the foremost tech hub in the region, the city-state is famous for being among the leading Technology Innovation Hubs in the world along with New York City, London, and Beijing.

If you’re passionate about the tech industry and its innovations and developments, these four information technology and digital technology conferences and events this September should be up your alley.

TECHSPO Singapore (Sept. 15-16)

This much-awaited event brings together the best from the world's broad technology industry, from educators, innovators, and entrepreneurs to developers, digital executives, and investors, among many others. TECHSPO Singapore is a two-day technology expo from Sept. 15-16 happening at the swanky Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, with exhibitors slated to showcase the latest innovations on the internet, mobile, AdTech, MarTech, and Software as a Service (SaaS).

A visitor pass (S$26) will give you a one-day one-time access to the TECHSPO Hall only, but if you wish to take part in the training, you can opt for the training pass (S$247), which gives you a one-day unlimited access to the expo, as well as lunch and Tech Training Theatre Reserved Seating. To experience the event in its entirety, there's the All Access Pass, priced at S$347, for two days' unlimited access, lunch, and reserved seating.

Location: TECHSPO Singapore, Sands Expo and Convention Centre, 10 Bayfront Ave

TOKEN2049 Singapore (Sept. 28-29)

TOKEN2049 is Asia's "premier crypto event" and is the flagship event of Asia Crypto Week. It is organised every year in Singapore and London where leading figures from the global Web3 industry gather to create connections and networking opportunities. Happening from Sept. 28-29, the event has meetups, workshops, dinners, and parties reserved for the attendees, which are estimated to be around 4,000 this year. Those interested to attend TOKEN2049 can buy tickets from its website, with the option to either pay in United States dollars or in crypto.

Tech in Asia Conference 2022 (Sept. 21-22)

Tech in Asia will mark its first-ever hybrid conference this September, with an in-person in Jakarta on the 15th and an in-person and virtual event in Singapore from the 21st to 22nd. This conference aims to "create maximum support for the tech community to reconnect" by hosting industry leaders and players, experts, and decision makers to share their insights with the people. The Tech in Asia Conference has accorded different segments for Singapore, such as the main stage, invite-only VIP networking, networking events, speed dating, startup factories, startup arena, work and rest areas, as well as a subscriber lounge.

Some of its esteemed speakers include Jenny Lee, managing partner at GGV Capital; Rameez Ansar, co-founder and director of Circles.Life; and Pratik Gandhi, co-founder and COO of Nium, among others. The first day of the conference will tackle topics like startups and investors, fintech, investment winter, and web3 gaming, while the second day focuses on Gojek, health tech, climate tech companies, and DevSecOps culture.

Location: Tech in Asia Conference, Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Ave

BSides Singapore (Sept. 22-23)

Security BSides began in Las Vegas in 2009 as a "community-driven framework" for information security community members. BSides Singapore takes from its same values but capitalises on the city-state's "melting pot of cultures" to bring people passionate about information security together. It prides itself as a "do-ocracy," fervently believing in making things happen over waiting for things to happen.

At BSides Singapore, participants can expect an "intense [two-day] event" comprising discussions, demos, and interactions on topics like the Kubernetes software, malware, HTTP request smuggling, and supply chain compromises, among many others. Tickets to the virtual conference are priced at S$10.
