Shifting Shores: Coastal Futures in a Changing Climate

This free admission workshop will explore pressing questions about the nation’s evolving shoreline, the challenges of rising sea levels, and how sustainable solutions can coexist with large-scale infrastructure projects.

Facilitated by the Singapore Youth Voices for Biodiversity (SYVB), the programme invites participants to examine Singapore’s coastal transformation through the dual lens of climate resilience and biodiversity conservation. With initiatives such as the Long Island project set to redefine the nation’s relationship with the sea, this event highlights the urgency of finding balance between nature and development.

Designed primarily for youth, the workshop provides a dynamic platform to empower the next generation of changemakers. However, the conversation extends to participants of all ages, encouraging everyone to join in shaping a sustainable future. Led by Isaac Ong Zi En, Programmes Head at SYVB, the session offers valuable insights into policy advocacy, conservation, and the collective pursuit of environmental justice.
