Stellar Speaker Lineup, Fab Lunch: Britcham Plans for Int'l Women's Day

To recognise influential women from all walks of life and to seek gender equality are the essence of International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated annually every March 8.

According to the World Economic Forum, this year’s theme is about embracing equity, which encourages campaigners to break gender stereotypes, discrimination, and biases, as well as promote inclusivity.

In honour of the upcoming celebration, the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore (Britcham) is hosting a special International Women’s Day Lunch on March 6 at The Stamford Canning Ballroom of Hotel Swissôtel.

Led by the Women in Business Committee, this is the organisation’s flagship diversity event of the year, featuring a stellar lineup of speakers, a three-course lunch, and up to 300 guests. The luncheon will run from 11 AM-2 PM.

Speakers

Her Excellency Kateryna Zelenko, Ukraine ambassador to Singapore, is the keynote speaker this year. The discussion will focus on diversity, inclusion, and women in business.

Zelenko is a career diplomat who served as the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and deputy director of the Communications and Public Diplomacy Department before her deployment in the city-state.

She also worked at the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Austria and Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organisations in Vienna from 2007-2011. She later became part of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Germany during 2014-2018, where she was responsible for culture, press, and public diplomacy issues.

Apart from Zelenko’s talk, there will also be a moderated panel discussion to be participated in by Women on a Mission Co-founder and HER Planet Earth Founder Christine Amour-Levar, givvable Co-founder and Director Naomi Vowels, Southeast Asia Growth Markets of Mercer CEO Godelieve Van Dooren, and Marsh Asia CEO David Jacob.

Tickets for the IWD lunch are classified into five categories, namely: Supporting Partner – Member Company, Supporting Partner – Non-member Company, Table of 8, Individual Members Tickets, and Individual Non-members Tickets. Prices range between S$199.07 and S$2,777.88.
