Wall of Illusions

Step into the complex and thought-provoking world of "Wall of Illusions," presented by TIME Theatrics Pte Ltd, on Aug. 22-23, 2025, from 7:45 PM onwards at Aliwal Arts Centre, Multi-Purpose Hall. This physical theatre piece explores the fragility of identity, societal illusions, and the cyclical nature of trauma through the stories of three asylum residents: The Shaman, The Explorer, and The Woman.

With a nonlinear structure and dynamic physical choreography, "Wall of Illusions" immerses audiences in a visceral journey where personal struggle clashes with oppressive systems. The performances challenge perceptions of reality, memory, and existence, prompting viewers to reflect on the metaphorical walls that imprison the human mind.

Written and directed by Jacklyn Kuah, co-created with Eugene Chow and Sirfan S Knite, the production features music and sound by Lynette Quek and set and lighting design by Fiona Lim. Tickets are priced at S$38 with free seating, offering theatre-goers a unique opportunity to engage with minimalist, symbolic storytelling that resonates long after the final bow.
