1. Singapore Affordable Art Fair

November is a loaded month for anyone into the arts—or who have a hankering for awakening their creative juices, at least. With in-person events now in full throttle in Asia, all roads are leading to 1 Republic Boulevard this weekend for Singapore’s Affordable Art Fair. The fab F1 Pit Building will house more than a thousand contemporary artworks from over 75 galleries. Snag masterpieces to accentuate your space or add to your collection from various mediums and genres. 2. FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World Cup is in the air and what better way to catch this important sports event than by chugging a pint of ice-cold beer with fellow screaming fanatics in the background? Sports bars, hotels, and restaurants have organised their respective watch parties for football fans to cheer on their favorite teams. 3. Marigold Singapore Squash Open

Sports and the arts are equally getting their deserved spotlight this month as a nod to the return of live events and a goodbye to lockdowns and travel curbs. If you’re a fan of squash, head over to the Singapore Sports Hub at the OCBC Arena for Singapore Squash Open 2022. 4. Art Reimagined x Meta

Organised by Facebook parent company Meta, Art Reimagined uses Augmented Reality (AR) to break the physical limitations of creativity. Three traditional artists will team up with Meta Spark creators to “transform artwork into mesmerising AR effects, where people can learn more about traditional art forms and cultures steeped in rich history.” All AR effects will be viewable on Instagram, while the physical exhibition will take place starting this Friday. 5. RE•MIX 2K22

This generation had been through difficult periods, no thanks to the pandemic, wars, and the deeply polarising nature that the internet has now become. But all those difficulties just made today’s youth resilient, resourceful, and creative. To celebrate this generation, Singapore-Chinese Cultural Centre is back with its annual youth fest called RE•MIX 2K22 where you can hang with your pals and get a “culture vibe check.” Some activities to look forward to are street dance competitions, art exhibits, music concerts, and an escape room. 6. Jigger and Pony

The world’s top 500 bars are in and Singapore is not one to fall short on the list. Its very own Jigger and Pony has been hailed as the globe’s third best bar and while it’s no stranger to accolades like this, Jigger and Pony’s mastery of classic cocktails couldn’t be exaggerated. Expect the bar to be extra packed as first-timers try to get their taste of its recent recognition, but if you’re looking for a place to chill this weekend, this is your best bet. 7. ‘You Are the Reason’ Dance Production

Jeté Studios, a ballet school from the east, is holding its first dance production at Gateway Theatre this weekend. Children as young as three years old will take the stage and showcase their dance skills based on the foundation of traditional ballet. Jeté Studios uses a unique dance pedagogy based on Royal Academy of Dance to teach its students classical ballet as a springboard to other genres, making every learner a well-rounded dancer. 8. Sunday Service With Marcel Dettman

DJ Marcel Dettman will bring the house down with techno beats for a “Sunday Service” like you’ve never experienced. A renowned proponent of modern techno, Marcel is famous for his easily distinguishable sound of “ruff, raw, and rugged.” The DJ saw himself immerse in pulsating techno beats that reignited Germany. Be prepared for heart-pounding sound and basslines this weekend and lock in your passes here.

9. A Cryschella Christmas

Hoard tons of good vibes this weekend with a fun festival dedicated to crystals! Twenty-eight homegrown crystal brands will band together to give you charms and good luck with their gems. From raw and polished to wearables and candles, this is your go-to place for everything crystal. The venue will also be transformed into a winter Christmas village to add cheer to the fest. This is the sign you need to kickstart that early holiday shopping!
