We all had our favourite music growing up. Whether it’s an acoustic track of an indie band or a big hip-hop hit by an international artist, we all go back to the songs that defined our youth despite the many releases that have passed us through the years. The chances of hearing them live, though, are slim. But don’t worry.

If you’re looking to catch live nostalgic music, Esplanade is currently running a free programme called “Songs We Grew Up With 2023,” where various artists perform their favourite hits. Why not take some time off your busy schedule, so you can catch the remaining shows below?

  • May 16 – Singer-songwriter, content creator, and mental health advocate YAN will be singing English and Mandarin songs that had a big influence on her, plus her original songs
  • May 17 – Songwriter, rapper, and hip-hop artist Yaung will be performing old school classics and tracks that hit us hard
  • May 22 – Singer and pipa musician Bi Yu Ng will charm the audience with her rendition of songs from her favourite singers, plus a tribute to songs written by Singaporean songwriters
  • May 23 – Four-piece act The Elevated Pitch is reuniting on stage to take us on a walk down memory lane with pop songs from the 2000s, which carried them through key emotional milestones in their lives
  • May 24 – Acoustic double act The Staircase Duo will be bringing their feel-good set with performances of songs from Disney, Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan, and other classics from 2000 and beyond
  • May 25 – VOS A Cappella members Curie, Mervyn, and Aniq will stage an acoustic set of K-Pop tunes from artists that paved the way to hallyu, such as 2NE1, BIGBANG, CNBLUE, SHINee, and Girl’s Generation
