Up for some comedy series based on a webtoon? Mark your calendars as Netflix will be releasing a new K-drama titled “Chicken Nugget” on their platform soon!

The bizarre show follows the story of a father’s desperate quest to reverse his daughter's transformation into a chicken nugget, along with her admirer. How did she become one? We’re yet to find out! But based on the description of the show, the woman stepped into a strange machine that turned her into a chicken nugget.

The announcement came from a video clip shared by the streaming giant on X with the caption “the rumors are true.”

In the six-second trailer, a man can be seen peering into what looks like a mysterious locker and finding only a small chicken nugget inside instead of his daughter. The man then cries out "Min-ah!" and exclaims "It's all my fault!" while apparently having a breakdown on the ground.

The show is directed by Lee Byeong Heon and is based on the webtoon “Sweet and Sour Chicken,” which was written by Park Ji Dok. The expected release date is in Q1 of 2024, but no official announcement has been shared yet.

Will they succeed in bringing her back? See for yourself! Follow Netflix on X for more updates.
