Wat Thong On, located on Rama 3 Road, is a historic temple with roots dating back to around 1920. Initially named Wat Thong Em after its benefactor, Grandpa Thong Yaem, the temple was built on land donated by the couple. It has since undergone several transformations, with Master Pong, the 4th abbot, renaming it to Wat Thong On. The temple's significance extends beyond its name, as both Grandpa Thong and Grandma Em were involved in its religious practices, with Grandpa Thong even becoming a monk to oversee the temple’s management.
