1. Bangkok Art Biennale
Thailand’s events and exhibitions industry is in full force as seen in numerous big-ticket gatherings happening all over the country, bringing in experts and visitors from across the globe and breathing life into a space once on support system because of the pandemic. One of the headliners this year is the Bangkok Art Biennale, the city’s contemporary art festival happening until early 2023. More than 200 artworks are on display from 73 international artists across 12 venues in Bangkok. Catch the artists in their live performances in a showcase of works that aim to break barriers, spotlight different perspectives, and challenge the norm. 2. Taco Fest 2022
Who says you can only get tacos on Tuesdays? This Mexican staple comes in all forms and sizes this month with the return of Bangkok Taco Festival. Dig in and enjoy various takes on this favourite snack as it intertwines with Thailand’s palate. Thirteen participating restaurants play around with different flavours and ingredients to whip up a taco you’ve never tried before. And since one taco is not (er, never) enough, organisers are giving away points for every taco purchase and a chance to win foodie kits and special items. 3. Nordic Film Fest
Five movies from Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark will be shown at this weekend’s Nordic Film Fest helmed by the Embassy of Denmark in Thailand. If you’ve ever wondered why the Nordic region is breaking records in the rankings of the happiest place in the world, these films might just give you an idea. Oh, and did we mention all films will be screened open-air at Bangkok’s Danish embassy?

4. Breakfast at Market Café

As part of the Travelling Chef series that aims to bring quality dining closer to Thai homes, Siri Sala is collaborating with Rark for a weekend of culinary celebration. 7. Larder’s Dinner Series
Our favourite deli Larder is rolling out a pop-up dinner series that puts together the best cheeses, cold meat, shared plates, and wines you could ever have this weekend. Their artisanal plates come with a charcuterie and cheese selection for the day, as well as breads and spreads to pair with a glass of vino. Whet your appetite with the smoked ragu pasta and pan-fried scallops drenched in butter, before finishing off your sojourn in the dessert department courtesy of the lemon tart and pavlova. 8. Lantern Fest at Samut Prakan
Lanterns will illuminate the skies this weekend for the Loy Krathong Festival. This is the final chance to catch this event, which began last Nov. 4. Slip into a Thai traditional costume as your friends and family welcome the festive season. A fireworks display at 8 PM on Nov. 11-12 will brighten up Samut Prakan further for a night to remember. 9. Icon Luminaire
Lights, colours, and sounds will dazzle the second floor of ICONSIAM Park for “Icon Illuminaire,” an interactive event that toys with a mirror reflection technique. Scenic views depicting nature like the Chao Phraya River will come to life and serve as a backdrop to your Insta snaps. Go through the cosmic tunnel and be mesmerised by glittering reflections and dimensions before ending the day at the onsite Craze Bar for some cocktails.
