The Subsidy Scheme for Encouraging Early Deployment of 5G will be extended until Dec. 31 to encourage more public and private organisations to deploy 5G technology in their respective sectors.
Under the second round of the Anti-epidemic Fund, the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) launched the Subsidy Scheme for Encouraging Early Deployment of 5G to encourage various sectors to deploy 5G technology early through the provision of financial incentives. This is to improve the efficiency and quality of operations, which will then contribute to the overall competitiveness of Hong Kong.
Under the scheme, the government will “subsidise 50% of the actual cost directly relevant to the deployment of 5G technology in an approved project.” Around 200 qualified projects, which are subject to a cap of HK$500,000, will subsidised.

For enquiries, contact OFCA at 2961 6333 or e-mail [email protected]. Application guidelines and forms are both available online.
