The Fire Services Department (FSD) will launch a public training and tour next month to boost awareness about fire prevention, according to an Oct. 15 government press release.

Scheduled on Nov. 6, the open day will be held at the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy in Tseung Kwan O. A first session will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM, and another one at 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Tickets are required for admission. The Fire and Ambulance Services Education Centre and Museum will also be open that day.

Activities will include a fire appliance parade, firefighting and rescue demonstrations, tours of the fire department training facilities, and displays of special vehicles and equipment. Exhibitions on fire safety, recruitment experience area, FSD working dogs demonstration, and game booths will also be featured, the release said.

Those who are interested in attending the open day can apply here from Oct. 15-26. Each person can also apply for up to four tickets, which will be allocated by computer ballot. Successful applicants will be notified via email on Oct. 28. Children aged 3 may enter without an admission ticket.
