You might know Devialet from its Phantom speakers, but the company is looking to surpass its previous products with the miniaturisation of its tech in a compact, portable form. Its first-ever portable speakers promise adaptive stereo sound in 360 degrees, with an appropriately upscale design referencing Devialet's costlier speaker series.

Their proprietary cross-stereo tech allows their portable Bluetooth speaker to automatically adapt its soundstage to the shape of the room in which it is located. Devialet includes their proprietary cross-stereo technology on the Mania. If you subscribe to Qobuz, TIDAL, Amazon Music Unlimited, or Apple Music, you should clearly hear your audio investments via this model of proprietary portable Bluetooth speakers.
Given Devialet Hi-Fi's credentials as a top-tier audio specialist, the Devialet Mania is not your average portable speaker, and it uses a lot of audio savvy to deliver a wide-ranging stereo experience in every direction through its sphere-shaped enclosure. The Mania’s hi-tech features, though, might just be enough to convince some audiophiles looking for a more portable option.
The Mania has six separate drivers, with four full-range speakers placed at each top corner, as well as long-throw woofers, creating some of the best audio that we have heard from a portable Bluetooth speaker. You control their new portable Bluetooth speakers through an app, and the Mania runs the same OS that powers the bigger Devialet Phantom and Dione Soundbar.
The French audio company says its latest creation is the only portable speaker that offers true immersive and adaptive stereo sound, thanks to that auto-room-tuning function. Real-time acoustic mapping technology, and ASC-Active Stereo Calibration, leverage four calibrated microphones in a room, as well as built-in smarts, to enable the Devialet Mania to automatically adjust the sound presentation according to the environment.
Overall, this is a compelling package that delivers on its promise of offering room-filling sound with enough bass to satisfy the most demanding of Hip-Hop and EDM listeners.
