Prada has announced that it will be presenting the 2023 Prada Frames symposium, a two-day program exploring the complex interaction between design and the environment.

The symposium will investigate the dynamics that govern waste infrastructures and accompanying value systems, aiming to unpack the complex relationship between matter and ecosystems. The theme for this year's event is 'Materials in Flux', which will bring together local and international speakers from various cities to discuss this topic.

The event will kick off on Mar. 21 with an opening lecture by renowned architect Jacques Herzog about the M+ building located in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District. M+ is Asia's first museum of contemporary visual culture, dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design, and architecture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries from all over the world.

On Mar. 22, the symposium will continue with two sessions that respond to the theme 'Materials in Flux'. The sessions will feature a diverse range of local and international speakers, including Ute Meta Bauer, Kumkum Fernando, members of LAAB Architects, Lisa Reihana, Charles Lim, and Formafantasma.

The Prada Frames symposium will then move to Milan, where it will be held from Apr. 17 to 19 at the Salone del Mobile.

When: Mar. 21 - 22 (Hong Kong)

Where: M+, 38 Museum Drive, West Kowloon Cultural District, Kowloon
