A classic Cantonese noodle eatery on Wellington Street, Mak’s Noodles has existed since the 1980s, specialising in umami-packed wonton noodles from recipes developed over five generations of the Mak family. The chain began as a humble open-air food stall in Central Market back in 1968. Its menu stars wonton and dumpling noodle dishes with beef tendon, shrimp, and pork, and are all designed to pack a punch with bursting Michelin-grade flavour at a cheap price.
