Lenten Eats: Five Places to Get Fish and Chips in Metro Manila

During Lent, Catholics practice abstinence throughout the season by refraining from eating any meat or flesh of warm-blooded animals. Fish, however, may be consumed during the fasting period.
If you’re looking for non-meat dishes this Lenten season, we recommend trying out the classic dish of the British Isles – fish and chips! For a hearty yet guilt-free meal, here’s where you can get the tastiest and crispiest fish and chips in Metro Manila.
Fish & Co.
Fish & Co. believes that one bite of their freshly prepared seafood will have you hooked on their products for good. Its fish and chips served in a pan were inspired by the “simple practices of the fishermen in the Mediterranean Sea.” These fishermen cooked freshly caught seafood on their boats and ate them to satiate their hunger while out at sea.
To preserve its natural taste, the restaurant only uses the freshest seafood and healthy ingredients. On the fish and chips menu, you can choose from options such as light and crispy batter (P365-P575), Philadelphia stuffed with cream cheese (P395-P595), New York stuffed with parmesan cheese (P395-P595), and Swiss stuffed with mozzarella-oregano cheese (P395-P595).
