MOH Singapore Allows Dine-in Group of Up to Five Persons From the Same Household

Individuals from the same household who can dine-in together at food and beverage (F&B) establishments was upgraded up to five fully vaccinated persons starting Nov. 10, according to a press conference held by Singapore’s Multi-Ministry Task Force (MTF) last Nov 8.

Following the comprehensive Vaccine Differentiated Safe Management (VDS) measure, the dine-in group for people who are not from the same household will remain at two persons only, including unvaccinated children from 12 years and below.

The new VDS measure excludes hawker centres and coffee shops due to inadequate testing among diners. Further updates regarding this issue are to follow as the National Environment Agency (NEA) and Singapore Food Agency (SFA) are expected to speak with hawkers’ associations and coffee shop operators soon.

Punishments and fines shall be enforced for F&B outlets or individuals who fail to follow the new measure.

For unvaccinated individuals aged 13 and above who wish to dine in, a valid negative ART or PCR result is required, according to the safe management measures imposed last Oct. 13.
