Make Your Daily Commute Colourful With These Special Themed Trains
Colourful days await commuters on train cars and stations with the special three-year partnership of the National Arts Council (NCA) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
In celebration of the upcoming Singapore Arts Week 2024 (SAW), trains and stations around Singapore, including Bugis, Bencoolen, Dhoby Ghaut, Little India, Rochor, Paya Lebar, and HarbourFront, will be wrapped in visually appealing artworks by Singaporean artists until Jan. 28, which is also set to be displayed during the art week.
In addition to the participation of Singaporean artists, SAW and PAssionArts are also teaming up for a special wall installation titled "My Mother Says," wrapping the train cars with kind words and nice sayings co-created by the elderly residents of Tampines.
In the upcoming months, commuters can expect more art installations and artworks displayed in public places supported by the Public Art Trust initiative to strengthen the plans of bringing art closer to the public.
