Singapore Odyssea at the National Museum of Singapore

Step into a world of light, history, and imagination at Singapore Odyssea, the National Museum of Singapore’s groundbreaking new signature experience opening on Aug. 8, 2025. Presented as the museum’s SG60 gift to the nation, this captivating installation is housed within the stunning Shaw Foundation Glass Rotunda and invites visitors on a time-travelling journey through 700 years of Singapore's history.

This immersive multimedia showcase fuses art, light, and technology to present Singapore’s maritime roots, pivotal historical moments, and folklore through vivid animated dioramas, interactive storytelling, and visual projections. Each visitor receives an RFID wristband to activate their own magical companion—based on local wildlife—who will guide them through the experience.

Singapore Odyssea not only offers a fresh and engaging way to learn about the nation's evolution, but also brings focus to the sea’s role in shaping Singapore’s identity and its connection to today’s pressing themes of environmental conservation and sustainability.
