Popular Life Simulation Game ‘The Sims’ Is Getting a Live-Action Movie Soon
Hey gamers, the popular simulation computer game “The Sims” is getting a live-action movie soon, and it’s produced by the “Barbie” actress Margot Robbie’s company. Shpansa!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap, will team up with Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment to produce this highly anticipated film. The production duo will be working with "Loki" director Kate Herron who will direct and co-write alongside Briony Redman.
First making waves in 2000, this beloved life simulation series has been a staple for gamers worldwide. The game allows users to create their own characters and control their lives – building their homes, finding work, building relationships, starting families, and even just doing daily tasks like going to the bathroom and eating meals.
Now, with several sequels released, this is the first time they are getting an adaptation. Some sources told the Variety that the film is still in its early stages, so no specific details have been released yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
