Coldplay Announces Return to Hong Kong Live at Kai Tak Sports Park

If you’ve been holding your breath, you can exhale now and start practicing your best “Yellow” sing-along, because the rumors have finally been put to rest—Coldplay is officially returning to Hong Kong!
After all that speculation, Coldplay shared the exciting news on Instagram, confirming they’ll be hitting the stage at Kai Tak Sports Park on April 9, 11, and 12, 2025. They last performed in Hong Kong in 2009 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, so this is a major homecoming for their local fans!
The band will be lighting up the brand-new 50,000-seat Kai Tak Sports Park as part of their epic Music of the Spheres World Tour.
Coldplay has also hinted at something extra special: the release of their tenth studio album Moon Music, dropping on October 4, 2024.
A sequel to Music of the Spheres, this new album is sure to make its way into their live performances, including songs like "We Pray" featuring stars Little Simz and Burna Boy, and "feelslikeimfallinginlove.” We bet there will also be all the classics we know and love too: Paradise, Viva La Vida, Fix You, Charlie Brown, The Scientist, and more.
Meanwhile, a mystery guest is set to grace the stage in Hong Kong, whose identity remains a secret for now.
The band have announced they will go to Mumbai in January, Hong Kong in April, and continue on to Seoul.
