Stylish & Cosy: Serviced Apartment Brand Shama to Rise in Johor Bahru

Malaysia is set to welcome another first, as hospitality group Onyx is opening its inaugural Shama property in the country’s up-and-coming city, Johor Bahru.

Named Shama Suasana Johor Bahru, the soon-to-open building is developed in cooperation with United Malayan Land, one of Malaysia’s premier property and township development companies. It is scheduled to rise in the first quarter of the year.

Nestled at the heart of the city, Shama Suasana Johor Bahru boasts a highly accessible location, with it being near the city’s best leisure and business establishments. This includes Johor Bahru’s premier entertainment hub, Zenith Lifestyle Centre, and its famous cultural site, the Heritage Trail.

The property will also be located near the city’s transportation systems, like the Rapid Transport System and the CIQ.

Staying true to the Shama brand’s contemporary, stylish, and cosy qualities, the new property will offer spacious and luxurious suites, fully equipped kitchenettes, and modern bathrooms, along with other lavish amenities.

The soon-to-open development makes Malaysia the first country to carry three Onyx Hospitality Group brands aside from Thailand, following the opening of Amari Johor Bahru in 2017 and OZO George Town Penang in 2020.
