Merdeka 118 Tower, World’s Second Tallest Building, Will Open in Mid-2023

The team behind PNB Merdeka Ventures Sbn. Berhad, including its CEO YM Tengko Dato’ Abdul Aziz bin Tengku Mahmud, recently visited the headquarters of the Master Builders Association Malaysia to provide an update on the progress and completion plans for the Merdeka 118 Tower.

“Thank you very much to PND Merdeka Ventures Sdn. Berhad, especially to their CEO, for [a] great presentation of the [Merdeka 118] project,” the Master Builders Association Malaysia said in a Facebook post.

The gigantic structure, which is touted to become the second tallest building in the world, is on track to be finished by mid-2023.

Upon its completion, the Merdeka 118 Tower will be the highest building in Malaysia, soaring to a height of 678.9 metres. Boasting a vast floor area exceeding 3.1 million square feet, the building will offer 1.7 million square feet of premium Grade-A office space available for rent. To make things more exciting, the top 17 floors will be occupied by the first and only Park Hyatt Hotel in Malaysia.
