Six National Parks to Start E-Ticketing for Tourists Through QueQ App
The Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) announced that six national parks will start testing an e-ticketing system tomorrow, Jan. 7, giving tourists an alternative to cash when paying for entrance fees.
This also aims to cut the burden on park officials and staff who have to store large amounts of cash every day before turning them over to the DNP.
The pilot project will include the participation of Ao Phang Nga National Park, Doi Inthanon National Park, Erawan National Park, Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Khao Yai National Park, and Mu Ko Similan National Park.
To buy an e-ticket, tourists need to download the QueQ app and pay using their credit card or the Thai QR Payment service. Park officials will check e-ticket by the entrance.
The DNP said the project will be extended to all parks in the future if they find the system stable enough as a mode of payment.
