World Gourmet Festival Returns to Bangkok Featuring 12 Renowned Chefs
Culinary connoisseurs in Bangkok will have another event to look forward to, as the annual World Gourmet Festival is coming back in full swing for its 23rd edition!
To be held at the Anantara Siam Bangkok from Sept. 19-24, the festival will feature 12 Michelin-starred and award-winning chefs from Thailand, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Spain, Japan, Hong Kong, and Bahrain.
Here’s the list of chefs participating in this year’s festival:
- Chef Thomas Bühner - Germany (3 Michelin stars)
- Chef Daniele Lippi - Italy (2 Michelin stars)
- Chef Jimmy Lim – Taichung, Taiwan (2 Michelin stars)
- Chef Jordi Artal – Barcelona, Spain (2 Michelin stars)
- Chef Kiko Moya Redrado – Alicante, Spain (2 Michelin stars)
- Chef Toshiharu Sunayama – Kanazawa, Japan (2 Michelin stars)
- Chef Arne Riehn – Bangkok, Thailand (1 Michelin stars)
- Chef Barry Quek - Hong Kong (1 Michelin star)
- Chef Enrico Marmo - Italy (1 Michelin star)
- Chef Theodor Falser - Engel Gourmet & Spa, Italy (1 Michelin star)
- Chef Tala Bashmi - Bahrain
- Chef Phol Tantasathien - Bangkok, Thailand
The "Constellation of Stars Gala Dinner" on Sept. 9 will kick off the event, featuring an exclusive six-course menu curated by the chefs. There will also be an “8-Star Michelin Masters Brunch” on Sept. 24, which will feature South American, Indian, Arabic, and Thai dishes crafted by 2-Michelin-starred chefs Daniele Lippi, Kiko Moya, Toshiharu Sunayama, and Jordi Artal.
Chefs Arne Reihn and Phol Tantasathien will also conduct cooking classes on Sept. 20-21 and Sept. 22-23, respectively. Meanwhile, chefs Enrico Marmo and Theodor Falser will host “New Frontier” dinners on Sept. 23.
