Michelin-starred Restaurants That Serve the Best Dumplings in Bangkok

Best Dumplings in Bangkok

A dumpling is one of the staples in traditional Asian cuisine, which become the ultimate comfort food for many of us. Historically, this small mass of leavened dough is believed to have been invented by a Chinese medicine practitioner named Zhang Zhongjing during the Easter Han Dynasty (206 BC to 220 AD).

It was created to help people feel warmer amid the difficult cold weather. According to legend, Zhongjing thought of mixing mutton, herbs, and chilis and wrapping them in the dough, then steaming them to prevent frostbite.

Throughout the years, dumplings have evolved into different forms; aside from steaming, you can also cook them by deep frying, boiling, or baking. Every 26th of September, National Dumpling Day is celebrated to commemorate its humble beginnings and its meteoric rise to fame.

To help you find the tastiest dumplings in Bangkok, we’ve rounded up some Michelin-starred restaurants that you definitely should check out!
