Butter Cake Shop Opens Second Storefront in K11 Musea
As of this month, Black Sheep Restaurant Group has officially opened the second branch of American-style cake shop, Butter.
Setting up shop on the first floor of K11 Musea, the space takes inspiration from brand founder Christopher Mark’s nostalgia for 1980s diners and their classic dessert offerings. The new location is the first of Butter’s pop-ups to offer in-store seating where guests can enjoy their cakes and pie on-site.
Up to nine of Butter’s bestselling cakes and pies will be sold by the slice, in addition to three new items exclusive to the K11 Musea outlet. The all-new Lil’ Checkerboard Cake (HK$600) is a chocolate and vanilla cake in an eponymous alternating checkered pattern, ensconced in buttercream frosting and chocolate crumbs on top, and is only sold as a whole cake measuring 6 inches. Patrons will be required to pre-order the Checkerboard at least 48 hours in advance.
Also debuting at the K11 Musea Butter shop is the Itty-Bitty Banana Cream Pie (HK$80) that is portioned off into single servings, as well as the Kitchen Sink Bar (HK$50) made from shredded coconut, peanuts, pretzels, and drizzled in caramel sauce.
Diners can find the brand’s usual offerings such as Apple Pie (HK$90 per slice), Triple Chocolate Cake (HK$100 per slice), Carrot Cake (HK$100 per slice), New York Cheesecake (HK$100 per slice), and more.
The shop is open seven days a week between 11 AM and 8 PM. Butter’s first branch can be found on Staunton Street in Central.
