20 Hong Kong Bars Named in Top 500 Bars 2022 Rankings

Up to 20 bars in Hong Kong have swept up high rankings in the latest Top 500 Bars Rankings for 2022, with Penicillin bar in SoHo claiming 20th place in the exclusive rankings.

The Top 500 Bars is an aggregated list of bars worldwide ranked annually using data from over 2,000 online sources in over 20 languages; including rankings, publications, and platforms, alongside expert opinions, journalist values, and influencer data.

Asia’s number one-ranked bar in 50 Best Bars 2022, COA, placed 24th in Top 500 Bars, ARGO ranked at 25th, The Darkside 98th, The Pontiac placing 121st, The Old Man at 134th, The Wise King 155th, and The Aubrey coming in at 157th.

The rankings “created by the people, for the people” found Hong Kong to place high globally in rankings overall, holding the same placings and ranked bars as in their 2021 rankings.

Hong Kong lost a hold of six rankings as compared to its 2021 list with 26 bars, placing fifth in city rankings in 2022, followed by Paris with 23 bars, New York with 27 ranked, Singapore at 28, and London with a whopping 49 bars placed on the 2022 list.
