HK$12 Million Apartment Up for Grabs in Tycoon’s Second Vaccine Lucky Draw

Local Hong Kong tycoons have extended the deadline for a lucky draw of an apartment in Kwun Tong, provided that Hong Kong meets their target vaccination rate of 80% residents receiving their first dose.

Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, together with Sino Group and Chinese Estates Holdings, are holding an additional lucky draw for an apartment in Kwun Tong’s Grand Central Development, worth HK$12 million and 450 square feet in size.

The draw would be available for all eligible five million Hong Kong residents who have gotten the first dose of any COVID-19 vaccine by Nov. 30, 2021. The group hopes that Hong Kong’s vaccination rate will pick up from the current 4.4 million vaccinated.

This is the groups’ second lucky draw for an apartment listing in the Grand Central Development. The first came in May 2021, where an apartment worth over HK$10 million was listed in a lucky draw in Grand Central to all permanent residents with two doses.

A former Cheung Sha Wan-based 35-year-old chef won the first draw offered by Ng Teng Fong, earning himself a HK$10.8 million apartment in the modern Kwun Tong estate.

As of Sep. 23, a total of 8.44 million doses have been administered in Hong Kong. The total population with 1st vaccine dose stands at 65.7%, with 2nd vaccine dose at 59.7%.

Community vaccination centres will be open for 69 more days, with walk-in vaccination appointments available from today (Sep. 23) onwards.
