The music of the London Philharmonic Orchestra will return to Hong Kong this August in the form of two concert screenings.

Global media and tech company, Yahoo announced on Wednesday (June 15) their plans to launch a series of virtual events featuring celebrities and influencers in Hong Kong. The announcement was made following Meta’s strategy to collaborate with local businesses and organisations in giving first-hand metaverse experience to residents.
Yahoo’s non-fungible token (NFT) exhibition will be called “The Abyss of Kwun Tong” and showcase the historic neighbourhood of Kwun Tong before it was redeveloped.
Yahoo Hong Kong Head Loraine Cheung said the company believes that Metaverse-inspired concerts and exhibitions will help promote socialisation despite existing pandemic policies in the region. Spearheaded by local artists, this initiative aims to build connections regardless of time and physical location.
