India’s Diwali Festival is approaching on Nov. 12, and Hong Kong’s top Indian haunts are ready to wow with light, life, and colour for warm family reunions during the Festival of Light, symbolising the spiritual triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
The Hindu festival is celebrated across India and many countries with great populations of Indian emigrants. During Diwali, people are encouraged to don their finest clothes, worship, and pray to the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, light fireworks and lamps, and dine in feasts with loved ones. CHAAT
One Michelin-star fine-dining restaurant CHAAT has prepared a luxury Indian feast for Diwali Festival on Nov. 12, featuring four deluxe courses of traditional plates with modern interpretations, priced at HK$1,588 per person. Among the 11 dishes on the Diwali Tasting Menu, tuck into specials Lehsuni Salom Tikka, Lamb Chop Nihari, Navratan Pulao, and Black Sesame Kulfi with Rabdi Falooda.

Uncle Desi Food & Sons
Black Sheep’s premium Indian delivery service has curated two menus designed for groups of six to 30 to enjoy both meaty and veggie flavours in celebration of the festival of lights. The vegetarian-friendly Uncle’s Delight (HK$488 per guest) includes signatures Dal Makhani, Sweet Corn Chaat, and Kadhai Panner, whilst the Uncle’s Feast (HK$598 per guest) shows off the power of Rarha Meat Adraki and the takeaway’s starred Chicken Biryani with Gravy.

The Peak’s Rajasthan Rifles is lighting up bright with a one-night feast on Nov. 12 to celebrate Diwali Festival. Enjoy their sharing-style menu (HK$798 per guest) crafted by the friendly faces at the high-flying Indian mess hall. Start with The Sepoy’s Celebration, a sharing of small Indian bites, The Quarter Master’s Sunday Treat, a mixed-grill selection of fish, mutton, and chicken, and end with The Colonel’s Delight, a collection of braised meats and curries.

CHAIWALA
The show starts in SoHo with Chaiwala’s Diwali dinner and brunch menus to reign in the glitz and shine of the festival. Strong selections, from beloved curries and small plates to chaats and biryanis, have been included in both Diwali Dinner (HK$580 per person) and Diwali Brunch (HK$428 per person) menus, including the Aloo Tikki Chaat, Bombay Fried Chicken, Murgh Kadai Masala, Saag Paneer, and Gosht Kofta Curry. The Diwali Dinner costs HK$580 per person, and Diwali Brunch HK$428 per person.
