23 restaurants from Hong Kong have been placed in the La Liste World Restaurant Ranking for 2023, following a launch ceremony at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, France on Monday (Nov. 28).

Launched in late 2015, La Liste is a French ranking guide, which ranks the 1000 best restaurants, alongside a restaurant placing inclusive of over 20,000 restaurants in 195 nations, aggregating over 700 international gourmand guides.

La Liste uses a Parker-style scale, ranging from 80 to 100 with 0.25 increments, to rank restaurants.

8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana, the only Italian restaurant outside of Italy to have received 3 stars from the Michelin Guide, ranked top in Hong Kong and 78th in the world, taking a score of 96.50. Three Michelin-Star Caprice as well as Lung King Heen at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong both ranked 95.50, placing second and third highest on the table for the SAR.

Octavium and Sushi Shikon scored 94.50, T’ang Court at 94.00, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon and Howard’s Gourmet at 93.00, Yan Toh Heen at 92.00, Tin Lung Heen at 91.50, L’Envol and Mandarin Grill + Bar at 91.00, Arbor at 90.50, and Haku at 90.00.

Beyond the ranked 23, La Liste found many top restaurants curing international recognition for their craft, including MORA, Ando, Chaat, Henry, Mosu, Grand Majestic Sichuan, Roganic Hong Kong, Aulis, Margo, and Duddells winning the “Outstanding” recognition. The Baker & The Bottleman, Ho Lee Fook, and Osteria Marzia won “Food Gem” recognition.
