Lucciola Restaurant & Bar: An Evolution of Italian Cuisine in Wan Chai
Having made a notable impression as a participant in The Beat Asia's recent Italian Week Hong Kong 2023 event, Lucciola Restaurant & Bar continues to shape the local lunch scene in Wan Chai. As a part of The Hari's portfolio, this modern Italian restaurant is distinct in its approach, renewing its set lunch menus every fortnight to keep pace with the seasonality inherent in Italian cuisine. Leveraging the finest ingredients imported from Italy, Lucciola offers an ever-evolving gastronomic experience.
Launched in 2020 under the leadership of The Hari's Food & Beverage Director Francesco Gava, Lucciola has positioned itself as a purveyor of authentic Italian fare, harmoniously marrying comfort and sophistication within its chic ambience.
Lucciola's set lunch is a testament to the diversity of Italian cuisine, featuring an array of both traditional and summery dishes. Patrons can whet their appetites with Antipasti like Vitello Tonnato or Impepata di Cozze al Vino Bianco, followed by mains such as Zafferano e Limone - a handcrafted tagliolini pasta - or La Tagliata di Manzo Americano for the meat aficionados. Italian classics rule the dessert menu, with options like Il Tiramisù Tradizionale, La Panna Cotta ai Frutti di Bosco, and Gelato alla Vaniglia e Amarene Fabbri.
Highlighting Lucciola's ethos, Gava shares, "Lucciola is more than a restaurant; it is an experience that brings Italian regional classics and modern recipes to the table. Our lunch guests continually return to savour our evolving, unique dishes and comfortable dining environment, where Italian traditions meet contemporary interpretations."
