SHIP KEE Relocates to Hopewell Centre, Keeping Cantonese Classics Alive

SHIP KEE has been serving up heartwarming Cantonese comfort food classics since 2021 and has earned Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition in both 2023 and 2024.
Now, the restaurant has moved to a nautical-themed location in the Hopewell Centre, Wan Chai, boasting over 6,000 square feet, with seating for 240 and seven private rooms. The ambiance takes diners back to China's maritime golden age, with handcrafted dishes at the heart of the experience.
The Epicurean Group has opened a new Peking restaurant: Sun Moon Place, at SHIP KEE’s former Ship Street location. This restaurant offers affordable and friendly dining with classic Peking dishes and nostalgic charm.

Known for its exceptional use of premium ingredients and expert wok-hei techniques, SHIP KEE’s menu showcases the best of traditional Cantonese cuisine, including specialties like Pan-Fried Stuffed Dace in Supreme Soy Sauce (HK$198) and the Shunde-Style Braised Goose with Taro, priced at HK$788. This dish, which is crispy on the outside and melt-in-the-mouth tender, must be ordered 24 hours in advance.

For seafood lovers, try their garlicky, spicy Typhoon Shelter-Style Fried Prawns with Longjing Tea Leaves, Bell Peppers and Celery (HK$275), SHIP KEE's signature Chicken Oil & Huadiao Wine Steamed Flower Crab with Inaniwa Udon (market price, 24-hour advance order required), or The Chaoshan Seafood Claypot Congee (HK$688; requires 24-hour advance order), which is a luxurious, umami dish slow-cooked to mouthwatering perfection.
For those craving an extravagant sharing experience, SHIP KEE is unveiling a new Banquet Menu, featuring three luxurious sets, starting at HK$8,888 for a party of 12.
To wrap things up, treat yourself to some nostalgic Cantonesedesserts like the Sweet Almond Soup with Egg White (HK$42 per person), Coconut Split Pea Puddings (HK$42), and Black Sesame Rolls (HK$42), a delightful nod to the comforting flavors of home.
