To celebrate their long-awaited arrival to Hong Kong, award-winning Taiwan milk tea brand SOMA Tea & Mocktail is hosting a limited time pop-up with The Farmhouse Deli at Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong from Aug. 1st – Sept. 18th 2024.

Founded in 2013, Taiwan’s own “boutique” milk tea brand prioritizes utilizing the most premium ingredients and implementing the most skilled techniques.

SOMA Tea & Mocktail was awarded with Taiwan’s “No. 1 Milk Tea” at the 2019 Taiwan Milk Tea Festival, and since opening over a decade ago has continued to attract many customers. In their exclusive pop-up, SOMA Tea & Mocktail will feature four specially selected SOMA Signature Milk Tea Flavors.

The first item on the limited-time menu, the Original Milk Tea with Pearls, is made from three black teas from Sri Lanka, India and Kenya. The smooth and aromatic drink is a worthy refreshment to enjoy.

The Black Sesame Milk Tea with Pearls is the second featured drink, with complex flavor and nutty aromas. As one of SOMA’s bestselling milk tea flavors, the tea adds an “earthy dimension” to its flavor.

The third is a Hong Kong Exclusive Flavor named the Yuen Yeung Coffee Milk Tea with Pearls. Utilizing SOMA’s signature tea base, mixed with The Farmhouse Deli’s own Hyatt Centric Blend coffee, the tea introduces a different perspective on a classic Hong Kong beverage.

"For Yuen Yeung, it doesn't get more Hong Kong than that," said Jeremy Lo, Founder of SOMA Tea & Mocktail. "Personally I'm a big fan and when I go to cha chaan tengs [local restaurants] it’s something I always order."

The fourth and last alcoholic delicacy is the VSOP Milk Tea with Pearls. The well-balanced and full-bodied drink infuses the “earthy aromas” of tea with rich oak and vanilla, a delicious enjoyment for grown-ups.

Jeremy continued: "For VSOP, a lot of people when we when they hear about using brandy inside milk tea, they think a cocktail, but for us, the alcohol itself has so many unique flavors that you don't really show in other drinks. So we want to present it as to enjoy the flavor and the scent, without having a punch drinking [experience like with] cocktails or really hard alcohol."

SOMA's exclusive collaborative drinks are available now until September 18th, 2024 at Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong.
