Marking a collaboration like no other to showcase Hong Kong’s creativity in mixology and craftsmanship, The Old Man bar has joined hands with Two Moons Distillery and local woodworking studio MADE to launch the limited-edition ‘Trees, Tales, & Tipples’ cocktail menu.

This exclusive three-month menu, debuting on Dec. 14, 2023, offers a unique “grove-to-glass” experience that blends sustainable spirits with earthly flavours and the art of woodworking. It's a multisensory journey celebrating local trees, artistry, and award-winning gins.

The menu showcases three distinctive cocktails, all priced at HK$120, each harmonizing the character of Two Moons Distillery's gins with the essence of different local trees.

First, the Old Country cocktail captures the woody flavours of earth, combining Two Moons' Signature Dry Gin with Caramelized Pumpkin and Ginger Vermouth from The Old Man Hong Kong, and smoked Pomelo Wood for a velvety smokiness. Served in a Dragon Juniper wooden vessel, this cocktail celebrates nature's interconnectedness and Hemingway’s heritage.

The Catherine Barkley is a tribute to the tree's sturdy structure. This cocktail blends Two Moons' Five Flowers Tea Gin with Charred Longan Wood Lillet from The Old Man, mint and dill cordial, and soda. Finally, Into The Trees is a tart and fruity creation featuring Two Moons’ Calamansi Gin and Charred Wood Absinthe. It’s a nod to both the fruits of trees and the fruits of labour, inspired by Hemingway's novel “Across the River and Into the Trees.”

The experience is further enhanced by the custom-made wood menu integrated into The Old Man Hong Kong's magazine-style menu, complete with a wooden bookmark detailing the cocktails, adding a multisensory layer to the experience.
