Get your walking shoes on to the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest zoological and botanical centres in the world, dating back to the park’s public opening in 1871. Occupying 14 acres on Albany Road north of Government House, the park’s greenhouse features year-around exhibits hosting more than 900 species of tropical flora and fauna, 300 birds, 70 mammals, and 20 reptiles housed in 40 enclosures in the two sections.
